Our Sustainable Choices
When Scruffys was just an Evernote of random ideas, goals and opportunities, it became clear that sustainability wasn't a "nice to have". It was something we had to consider across everything we were hoping to achieve. While we were creating a golf brand that pushes the sport forward, we'd need to be working to push our sustainable business practices forward as well.
That's why we're committed to making a couple of key decisions.
Fabrics that Make Sense.
As we were designing the Scruffys Performance Polo and exploring different materials we had a significant moment of realisation. When you consider that synthetics are too often hot, sweaty, itchy and the benefits stop at the price, switching to smarter fabrics for our range was a no-brainer. Through using natural, biodegradable materials such as 100% organic cotton and bamboo, we're doing our bit. The performance benefits that come with just sweeten the deal.
Packaging but Good.
Countless manufactured products come wrapped in single use plastics that end up in landfill mere moments after they're produced. Enjoying our large, thriving natural green-spaces is a huge part of the golf experience, so we're keen to ensure they're around for generations to come. That's why we've opted for our striking paper tube packaging, reducing the need for single use plastics through manufacturing, delivery and end-use.
Mailers with noissue.
When looking for opportunities to make sustainable decisions that extended beyond our products, we found noissue and their Eco Packaging Alliance. We've opted to break it down with their 100% Compostable Mailer Bags to help get our products into your hot little hands, the right way. Not to mentioned that our orders support the planting of trees in areas of need. We've got noissue with that.
Carbon Neutral Delivery
For most people, ecommerce shopping means your favourite products are just a couple of clicks away. We love that for you, but it's our job to ensure that what happens between order and delivery is as epic as the products that arrive. That's why we work with Sendle, Australia's first tch B-Corp certified company!
Sendle work to preserve and regenerate natural ecosystems around the world from rainforests to improving clean water access in communities in Africa, ultimately ensuring a net carbon footprint of zero. That's real e-commerce magic.
